Fishermen Creep Behind Giant Crocodile Sitting On Edge Of River

According to Matt Cox, “croc spotting” is a preferred pastime, and the activity is just what it sounds like. It consists of going out on the water in search of crocodiles.

On paper, that sounds pretty fun and exhilarating. Who wouldn’t want to see these majestic reptiles in their natural habitat?

But as Matt and his friends realize in the video below, sometimes it can get a little too exhilarating!

They had originally been riding along on their boat, in search of barramundi fish on the Ord River in Kununurra, Western Australia. Soon enough, they switched to croc spotting.

And oh, did they spot a crocodile!

The three men found a nearly 16-foot behemoth on the riverbank!

The big old croc was peacefully enjoying some sun on that beautiful day when they found him.

Now, Matt had seen plenty of crocodiles in his time working for Northbound Charters. But his friend had never seen one, so he decided to move their boat in for a closer look at the huge animal.

In the video, you can see how silently Matt and his friends were as they edge closer to the crocodile. They probably thought the big reptile was never going to notice them.

Well, they thought wrong!

Without any warning, the crocodile quickly whipped around and dove back into the water, and if to say, “Hey, I’m trying to tan here!”
