It's tough to stay motivated and keep yourself in great shape once you stop being single. You KNOW you can have sex regardless of the size of your gut . . . and that sure makes it hard to pass on dessert.
A new survey has figured out just how LONG it takes for people to let themselves go after they get married. And the average answer was . . . just over two years.
About 26 months into their marriage, the average person said they gave up on trying to look as good as they did when they were single.
And . . . most people don't have a problem with that. Two-thirds say it's totally acceptable to give up worrying so much about your looks once you're in a serious relationship.
And, while it takes two years of MARRIAGE before you stop caring about looking like you did when you were single . . . the survey ALSO found the average age when people COMPLETELY stop caring about looking good and staying in shape.
For men, the average age of totally giving up is 46 . . . for women, the average age is 59.
