For all us 90's kids out there this is good news!
Nikelodeon has announced the relaunch of the classic "Are you afraid of the Dark." The hit show first aired on Halloween 1990, and ended July, 2000. It had a revival series in February 1999-June 2000. The show had different themes and stories from ghosts, haunted houses, curses, aliens, witches, vampires, werewolves, and some stories were inspired by events that happened by the story teller.
This is brand new, and a limited series will consist of three, one hour episodes. It'll have a new 'The Midnight Society', the group of kids around a camp fire hidden in the woods, sharing scary stories that take on a life of their own. The new show will hit the TV screens this October, and will have a cast of new young actors like Tamara Smart. Paramount Pictures will also be releasing an official "Are you afraid of the dark" movie. A date hasn't been released yet, but even at 31, I would see both the new show and film.
The show did scare me when I was younger, but I always wanted to see what new new story was going to unfold in the "Midnight Society." Also, there was always a happy ending to each story, so not all scary.-@georgiasmith87
