This story absolutely brings a tear to my heart that these two two-year-old girls are in the middle of this.
A frantic mother called police claiming that her estranged husband had taken their twin daughters, and was planning to drive off a bridge. Police found the vehicle, and supposedly when the dad realized he had been found, he sped up, and launched the car right off a cliff, landing on its roof 50 feet below. (Watch the insane video below)
CCTV cameras caught the entire thing.

The officer that was trailing him rappelled down into the water.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune:
The man was treading water with a girl in each arm. One girl was crying, holding onto the man’s neck; the other appeared to be lifeless. The three were taken to hospitals. They were expected to survive.
