This news comes after a lot of backlash for Stu Sternberg. Rays President Matthew Silverman announced before a Rays pregame show that they would be doing this strange marketing plan during the playoffs.
The Rays have a decent chance of winning 100-games this year (something that hasn't been done in their franchise history). They've had SUCH a fun year... all to be overshadowed by this. This a slap in the face for Rays fans! The million dollar question is; should Rays fans forgive him? I think its a poor move. People have been supporting the team for a long time whether its at the ballpark or at home watching from first to last pitch. Don't do the fans dirty like this!
