I still remember the night Whitney Houston died like it was yesterday. I was on the air that Saturday night doing the Pre-Party on 93.3FLZ.
Reese, my intern at the time, was sitting at the back producer island in the studio. All of a sudden she goes, "Hey Fink, I think Whitney Houston just died." I'm like EXCUSE ME?
We started digging around on all the news sources to make sure, but only one was reporting it. We went on the air with it, made the announcement, then did about 20 minutes of tribute to her. It was surreal. She was one of the most talented performers ever...taken way too early.
July 6th, "Whitney" hits theaters, and I can't wait to see it.
