People think they're so clever when they're drunk.
WPLG reports, an officer pulled over Earle Stevens of Vero Beach, FL on June 27th after a 911 call claims he was playing bumper cars in the McDonald's Drive-Thru. Stevens, (obviously drunk) claims he cannot be arrested for "drinking and driving" despite the open bottle of Jim Beam riding shotgun in his vehicle. The reason good ol' Earle claims he couldn't be charged with "drinking and driving" is because he was only technically "drinking at stop signs and traffic lights."
Good effort, Earle but the open container and the whole driving without a license thing is enough to put you on the sidelines.
