Turn Down For What? A $218 Fine, That's What!

Deputies in Pinellas County are on high alert during Operation: "Lower The Boom", seeking to rid the streets of drivers that think it's cool to listen to the radio too loud! DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri is encouraging drivers to snitch on those traffic light nuisances. As a matter of fact, right HERE you can report any fellow motorists who might need some encouragement to quiet down... Encouragement from the law! A warning letter will come to your house. Second offense: the sheriff is knocking on your door but since they don't have proof of violation you won't get an actual ticket.

However, as ABC Action News reports: If you're spotted by an officer with your radio too loud it'll cost you $218. 2nd offense: $418. 3rd offense: $500. Dagggggg!
