Mark Hoppus & Tom DeLonge Just Schooled Us In How To Say Blink-182

It all started with a tweet...

"The British call Blink-182 'Blink One Eight Two' and I’m not saying that’s WHY they lost the Revolutionary War, but..." The Late Late Show With James Corden writer Ian Karmel tweeted on Sunday (November 18). His boss didn't take kindly to that and responded with an interpretation of his own.

"Don’t start this. I admit we are wrong on this," Corden began. "America calls them Blink One eighty two. Which is also wrong. They technically should be called Blink one hundred and eighty two. Don’t take some moral high ground here."

The debate sparked the interest of two of blink-182's founding members: Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge.

"Thank you James," Hoppus wrote. "Some say one eighty two. Some say one eight two. But in all of this, I feel like we’ve lost sight of the fact that the B in blink-182 should be lower-case."

DeLonge then chimed in with his own hilarious two cents. "It’s actually— Blink eighteen-two. People have all gotten this wrong for years," he wrote. "Sometimes this can happen with very complex, thoughtful and elevated art."

All this banter makes us long for a blink reunion, but sadly that won't be happening anytime soon.
