Carrie Underwood Hits Back At Producer Who Says Everyone Hates Her NFL Song

Carrie Underwood did not please everyone with "Game On," her 2018 NFL song dedicated to Sunday Night Football's broadcast, but that doesn't mean the country titan isn't going to brush off the criticism without sharing her two cents.

On Sunday (December 16), a Sports Illustrator producer took to Twitter to admit that she loves that NBC has been "reading everyone's [Cris] Collinsworth slide tweets because it means they've also been reading all the tweets about how much we hate the new Carrie Underwood song." In case you aren't a Sunday Night Football follower, Cris Collinsworth is one of the announcers for the weekly broadcast and "slides" in on the camera, which prompted the network to start tweeting about his moments.

Regardless, Underwood took notice of the message and decided to respond to the tweet with nothing but kindness. "Hey, I know my music isn't for everyone, but I love what I do and I love being a part of @SNFonNBC ! ❤️ I am one lucky lady! I also love women who build other women up…just saying…," she responded. In a follow-up tweet, the American Idol champ encouraged her followers to remain positive and be nice to one another. "Let's do something nice FOR someone else. Smile at a stranger. It’s the start of a new week! Today is precious! Don't waste it! Sending love and cheer to you all!" she wrote.

As it usually happens with most celebrity responses, the user tried to explain herself afterward, but it was a little too late in the game. "Omg wait no I love you I just miss the old song!" she replied with crying emojis.
