Offset might want to keep his next grand gesture private.

To say the "Motorsport" rapper is trying everything he possibly can to win his wife Cardi B back would be an understatement. However, his recent actions to salvage his marriage kinda sorta backfired after he decided to pop up unannounced with thousands of apology flowers and an apology cake in the middle of Cardi's Rolling Loud Festival performance over the weekend.

"All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. A ni**a was just trying," he explained on Twitter Sunday (December 16), in response to the backlash surrounding his grand gesture. "thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh."

Here's how his onstage surprise went down:

Just hours after the Migos rapper begged Cardi to give him and their marriage another shot on Instagram Friday (December 14), he surprised her during her Rolling Loud set to plead his case with her face-to-face. In a recorded video of the surprise, a shocked Cardi is shown standing on stage, in the middle of her set, as three different flower-filled carts are rolled out behind her that spell "Take Me Back Cardi." The DJ is then heard telling the crowd to "make some noise" as a confused Cardi continued to look on. Moments later though it became clear what was happening, and a seemingly upset Cardi put her head down as her ex Offset walked out with roses and began to apologize.

"I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry bruh, in person, in front of the world," he said on the mic while standing next to a clearly uncomfortable Cardi. "I love you, whatever I got to do to show you." The "Money" rapper, who looked more pissed than anything, didn't give the crowd a reaction to Offset's gesture, but rather had him and the flowers set up removed.

Once video Offset's stage crash hit the Internet, fans of Cardi began bashing him for interrupting her set to "apologize" as many called his actions "manipulative." So much so, Cardi decided to take to Instagram to defend him. "I don't want people to keep doing f**k sh*t, saying f**k sh*t. Violating my baby father is not going to make me feel any better because at the end of the day that’s still family," Cardi told her fans in the first of her two-part Instagram video posts. "Unfortunately we going through things and it's not private, it became public and I just want things to die down. I just need time so we can see eye-to-eye. I can’t predict the future. I don’t know. But, the whole coming at my baby father bullsh*t — that doesn’t make me feel any better... Respect my wishes. I love y'all so much."

As fans know, after Cardi announced her and Offset's split last week, he was accused of cheating on her with multiple women during their marriage. One alleged side-chick, Summer Bunni, even issued a public apology for having an affair with him. However, the alleged exposure of Offset's cheating ways didn't stop him from taking to Twitter to publicly express how much he misses his wife. "F**k y'all," Offset wrote on Twitter Sunday (December 9). "I Miss Cardi."
