Did you know it was ORIGINALLY called Duck Tape?

It was called "duck tape" because it repelled water like a duck's back, and was made out of a cotton duck fabric.
WHO KNEW??
When it finally made it's way from the military to hardware stores, it was being used for air ducts...and so DUCT TAPE was born!
