Tampa Bay Galentine's Night Hot Picks

It's Georgia here, and if you're a single gal like me who has no one to share the beloved Valentine's Day with... have no fear!

I've found some cool local places here in Tampa Bay that aren't geared towards couples. I recommend these hot spots for you and your girlfriends to head to for a fun #Galentinesday

  • The Canopy, Downtown St. Pete

Is a  rooftop lounge at The Birchwood and ladies can score discounts on cocktails but also the chance to win designer accessories during their weekly “High Heels and Handbags” event. thebirchwood.com/thecanopy/ladies-night/

  • PedalPub, Downtown St. Pete

This is a 'Boozy Bike Ride' for you and your girlfriends! The Description of this says "Pedal through the streets of Downtown St. Pete on a passenger powered vehicle that’s basically a bar on wheels. $33 per seat, or the whole PedalPub can be booked for a custom, private tour aka a Tampa Bay girls night out. Bring your own ice, beer and wine, but the tour includes stops along the way. pedalpubstpete.com/"

  • Rock Hard Male Revue

Oh boy, if you're into the movie Magic Mike (and Channing Tatum is coincidentally from Tampa) This is for you. The Description for this event says "It’s raining men! Grab a front row seat for a “Magic Mike” show starring some of the Bay area’s hunkiest men for a great Tampa Bay Girls Night Out. Inspired by the performances seen in the movie, these guys really put on a show with serious dance skills! rockhardrevue.com/"

  • Downtown Tampa

If you're like me and are still new to the Tampa Bay area, this looks like a very good option as well. This is a Water Taxi. This has 15 stops around Downtown Tampa. Interesting! An all-day pass will cost you $15 but then the city is yours to explore until 10:00 pm. On weeknights and later on Friday and Saturday. (Here's the Schedule). Some of the Stop highlights include Jackson’s Bistro,Ulele and Ricks on the River.

  • Tampa Theater

While your downtown, I recommend checking out the Tampa Theatre. It's historic U.S. Theatre and a historic landmark in Tampa. It shows various old black and white classics, independent, foreign, and documentary films. It's really stunning, and elaborate theatre. It was created in 1926, and they've kept a lot of the decor and history inside. They also serve wine! YES! This weekend they're showing James Bond's "The Spy Who Loved Me" along with "Casino Royale" and "Goldfinger."

  • Improv Comedy Club, Ybor & Side Splitters, Carolwood

And last but not least, if you need a little laughter in your life with the girls. This is the perfect place to go to! I went to the Improv Comedy Club in Ybor after a breakup, and I laughed so hard. There's also Side Splitters in Carrolwood. These are Tampa's two hot spots for live stand up comedy. Both Perfect place to go to for a fun Valentine's Day night out with your best gal pals. Tonight at the Improv in Ybor City, they have a live stand-up featuring comedian Jessimae Peluso at 7:30 pm and you get a 'chocolate peanut butter thunder cake.' Sounds good to me!

See! It was a good idea to dump that douchbag!-@georgiasmith87
