"Child's Play" has long been one of my favorites of the iconic slasher flicks. I even loved the sequel where they blew Chucky to pieces at the toy factory! The series takes a dive after that but you get my point, I'm a fan!
The reboot to "Child's Play" looks like it might be taking the idea of a killer toy on the loose into a more modern world with a "rogue robot" motive for the doll. The original series worked with a backstory that "Chucky", the killer doll was a voodoo practicing con-man living his after life in a toy's body.
Oh, did I mention he's not "Chucky" anymore? He's "Buddi"... and he has wifi!
