French Billionaires Donate Over $450 Million To Help Rebuild Notre Dame

I've never gotten the chance to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, and I think that's why it was even more sad watching it burn yesterday.

But with the incredibly bad news comes some good news. A lot of people with resources are actually stepping up.

Multiple groups and families in France (along with other people and businesses) have already pledged over $450 million to help rebuild the masterpiece.

The company that owns Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Givenchy, and the family of the CEO, have donated $226 million.

The Kering group, whose brands are Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, have pledged $113 million.

Total, a French oil and gas company, has also promised $113 million.
