Sheck Wes Arrested On Weapon & Drugs Charges

Sheck Wes is facing two felony charges after getting arrested in New York City, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet, the "OUT WEST" rapper was driving a 2019 Lamborghini Urus with three friends when he was pulled over early Wednesday morning (May 20) in Harlem for excessive window tint. The car allegedly smelled of marijuana, prompting a search of the vehicle. Cops then reportedly found a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol in a bag in the passenger side of the car.

Sheck and another passenger were charged with two felonies: criminal possession of a loaded firearm and criminal possession of a weapon. However, they were arraigned and released without bail.

The 21-year-old rapper was also cited for not having a driver's license, TMZ reports.

Sheck's attorney, Scott Leemon, told the outlet, "This morning, Judge Moyne, in the Manhattan Criminal Court released Sheck Wes on his own recognizance, with no bail. His case was adjourned to August. During that period, we will conduct our own investigation into the charges."
