WATCH: Florida CFO Invites Chicago Businesses to Flee "Woke" Mayor

TALLAHASSEE -- Florida's Chief Financial Officer is making another pitch to businesses in the city of Chicago to move to the Sunshine State.

Jimmy Patronis' latest video message is a response to the election of mayor Brandon Johnson, sworn in earlier this week. Some of Johnson's allies are calling for $12 billion in new spending, to be offset by tax increases, including the potential return of a "head tax" on businesses for the workers they employ, as well as a cutback in police spending.

Patronis calls Johnson "another woke mayor who doesn't care about... safety or security but gladly takes your taxes and spends them, whatever way they please."

The CFO says Florida appreciates "job creators" and offered a personal tour of the state. We've reached out to Chicago City Hall for a response.
