Normally if you're in front of Judge Judy, that's not a good thing. You're probably getting a tongue-lashing from her in her courtroom! But this time, Judge Judy is being extra kind!
Judge Judy Sheindlin has donated $5 million to a scholarship fund at her alma mater, New York Law School. The money will cover tuition and book expenses for ten women enrolled at the school.
According to the New York Law School press release:
The gift establishes the Judge Judy Sheindlin Honors Scholars Program. When fully implemented, NYLS will host 10 women annually with excellent credentials and demonstrated financial need who will receive a full-tuition scholarship, book stipend, and a summer employment fellowship after their first year of law school.
