The Sarasota medical examiner has released his full report on the cause of death of Brian Laundrie, and it includes a lot of gruesome details about the aftermath as well. And in my opinion, everything that happened to his body was deserved for what he did to Gabby Petito.
According to the report, not only did Brian have a gunshot to the head, but only his skeletal remains were found because he had been eaten. (Get the full details below)
According to toofab, the report stated that:
The skeleton itself was almost entirely complete. The skull was in multiple fragments "consistent with a gunshot injury of the head." Many of the larger bones meanwhile showed evidence of "moderate to extensive animal predation" which is "characterized by gouging, gnawing and chewing marks." The likely culprits were identified as the Reserve's resident carnivores and omnivores, including feral dogs, coyotes, rodents and raccoons.
