If you watched Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs until the end last night, you saw the major fight between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers on the ice after the final whistle. And if you've been anywhere on socials today, you've most likely seen the brutal sucker-punch that happened OFF THE ICE as well.
The video that has gone viral shows fans leaving the game at Madison Square Garden, when a Rangers fan turns around and sucker-punches a Lightning fan. The Lightning fan crumbles to the ground, unconscious. Thankfully a few good Samaritans stop to help the man, who was supposedly out cold for five minutes. According to reports, when he finally woke up, he refused medical attention. The good news? The piece of crap that punched him has been arrested. (See the story below)
According to Evan Axelbank from FOX 13 News:
Perp James Anastasio, 29 of Staten Island, was ARRESTED and charged with 2 counts of assault, 2 counts of disorderly conduct, and 2 counts of harassment.
