Michigan Cat Found In Tampa

The Adventures of Bandit!

A two and a half year old tabby cat by the name of "Bandit" from Michigan, was found in Tampa in mid December.

Bandit disappeared from his family in October, was found two months later, and thousands of miles from his Michigan home. Someone brought Bandit into BluePearl Emergency Pet Hospital thinking he was a stray.

Veterinarian (Jose Calderon) found Bandit's information from his microchip, and contacted his family in Dearborn, MI. Jose told the Detroit Free-Press newspaper this is the first case of interstate pet travel he’s seen in his career of over 30 years.

Bandit's owner thinks he bummed a ride to Tampa from a van or someone in Dearborn decided to take Bandit to sunny Tampa Bay. Bandit's family has started a go-fund-me account to help buy Bandit a ticket back home.

Now, we can't speak for Bandit, but he might be waiting for that mid west winter to pass.-@georgiasmith87
