Woman Arrested For Turning Husband's Guns Into Authorities

A Central Florida woman is facing charges after turning her husband's guns into police, saying she feared for her life.

Lakeland police say Joseph Irby was jailed on charges of domestic violence and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for an alleged attack on his wife outside a divorce hearing.

Courtney Irby reportedly snuck into his apartment and took multiple firearms, citing a court order prohibiting him from having them.

Cops charged her with armed theft and armed burglary.

Representative Anna Eskamani says policy needs to better support survivors of domestic violence
