Markeith Loyd found guilty on all counts.

An Orlando jury deliberated for less than five hours Wednesday afternoon before finding Markeith Loyd guilty of all six major charges against him including first-degree murder in the 2016 death of pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon as well as first-degree murder in the death of her unborn baby.

The jury will now reconvene on Monday for the penalty phase of the trial- which may last longer than the actual guilt phase of the trial. They'll decide whether Loyd should be put to death. That decision would have to be unanimous.

Loyd, 44, apparently wasn't able to convince the jury that he was the one who was under attack by Dixon and her brother and that he acted out of self-defense. Dixon was shot eight times. Her brother was also shot but survived.

Loyd is also charged with first-degree murder in the death of Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton in a separate incident. That trial is scheduled for the spring of next year.
