Miami-Dade's School Board meeting this afternoon with local health experts to discuss the coronavirus caseload ahead of a special meeting to determine when schools can safely reopen. Superintendent Alberto Carvalho is recommending schools reopen next month since the county has met the 8 reopening metrics. Miami-Dade has had a daily 5-percent positivity rate for the past two weeks straight. After meeting with health experts, the board will meet with teachers ahead of parents to detail the face-to-face learning plan. Broward is holding its reopening workshop next week.
