One elderly couple in Minnesota ordered groceries using Instacart only to have their delivery driver run over their groceries, on purpose!
When the couple received notification that the driver had arrived, they went outside of their house to meet the driver due to the amount of snow in the driveway, only to find the Instacart driver, driving back and forth in their driveway. Once the driver left they noticed that the delivery driver had repeatedly run over their groceries in the driveway after the instacart driver saw a pro police sign in their yard. The elderly couple also found a note on the receipt that said “Instacart doesn’t pay employees, sry find another slave. F— the racist police pigs.”
Instacart offered a full refund to the elderly couple and community supporters have raised over $3,400 so far on a GoFundMe Page to help the couple. The driver has also been removed from the instacart platform but has not been arrested or charged with a crime, however she could face misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, which can send her to jail for up to 90 days.
