A fishing boat captain in North Carolina captured footage of a mysterious creature swimming in the waters off the coast.
The strange sighting occurred on Tuesday morning in Bogue Sound, a popular recreation site.
Daniel Griffee, the captain, was working for Chasin Tails Outdoors Bait & Tackle when he spotted the sizeable creature emerging from the water and swimming unusually.
Griffee initially thought the aquatic anomaly might be a group of dolphins but later suspected it was a baby whale.
However, the footage has sparked various responses on social media, with people suggesting it could be an alligator, an anaconda, or even a manatee. Some have even joked that it could be the Loch Ness Monster.
