I am absolutely furious as I'm writing this blog.
A healthy Shih Tzu named Emma was euthonized because of the dead owner's will.
Yes, you read the correctly.
The shelter that Emma was brought to after the owner's passing even tried fighting for the dog, telling the executors they could sign the dog over to them since they could easily find a home for Emma.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
According to NBC10:
Her deceased owner left explicit instructions in her will for the pet to be cremated and buried with her.
WARNING: PERSONAL OPINIONS
If you have in your will that your dog should be cremated and buried with you, and there's no stipulation for if the dog is still alive and healthy, I hope you are living out your afterlife in purgatory.
There is ZERO reason a healthy dog should be put down to be buried with its owner.
That is one of the most selfish things I've ever heard, and you are not a true animal lover.
