Florida Ranks Among The Least Safe States In The Country

Well this definitely isn't a stat to be proud of.

WalletHub just put out the list of the "Safest States In The Country", and unfortunately our lovely state is near the bottom of the list!

In fact, Florida is listed as the third least safe state in the U.S.!!

Here are the bottom 10:

  1. Mississippi
  2. Louisiana
  3. Florida
  4. Arkansas
  5. Texas
  6. Alabama
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Missouri
  9. Montana
  10. South Dakota

How is that even possible???

According to the blog:

In order to determine the safest states in America, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 52 key safety indicators grouped into five different categories. Our data set ranges from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to total loss amounts from climate disasters per capita.
