COVID-19: Hospitality Industry Reacts to Florida Bar Ban

TAMPA -- Governor DeSantis' order shutting down bars across Florida for 30 days has hit the hospitality industry hard. It affects bartenders, bouncers and local musicians like Kelly Mettling... who lost all of his musical and audiovisual work because of coronavirus. He performed at the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, as well as a local yacht club, and did audiovisual work for a beer distributor. All of that and more gone, because of coronavirus.

Mettling, who's played with bands like the Allman Brothers, hopes he can make a go of custom guitar work.

The order affects bars that make more than half of their revenue from alcohol. It went into effect at 5 pm Tuesday.
