Online Learning Disrupted After Citrus School District Hacked

LECANTO -- Online learning is disrupted for thousands of students, after servers in a Florida school district were compromised.

Citrus County school officials say some remote learning programs were affected when unknown hackers broke into some of its servers. I-T people discovered the glitch Thursday morning, shut down the servers and alerted security. The Citrus County Sheriff is now investigating.

Assistant superintendent Mike Mullen says they're working around the clock to fix the problem, but in the meantime students will experience delays.
