2020 just keeps getting crazier and crazier. And this is in NO WAY acceptable; no idea what this guy was thinking.
Last night during a Cincinnati Reds game, out of the blue, one of the best play-by-play announcers on TV (IMHO) dropped a homophobic slur, not realizing his mic was live. (Watch the video below)
Right before reading a promo for the team, Thom Brennaman can be heard saying:
One of the f** capitals of the world.
Then continued like nothing had happened...
Soon after, he apologized on-air, and was removed from the broadcast.
He has since been suspended by the team.
