Haim and Taylor Swift are collaborating once again!
On Wednesday (February 17), the sister trio confirmed the “Cardigan” singer-songwriter appears on a new remix of their song “Gasoline.” The announcement came by way of a TikTok shared by Haim, who can be seen getting into their ride before turning up the song on the car’s stereo while posted at a gas station.
The snippet is only a few seconds long, but you can just make out Swift’s duet with Danielle Haim on the chorus. “Gasoline, pretty please I want to get off / But you're such a tease / Throw the keys back to me / Go on and kick off your boots / In the passenger seat,” Danielle sings, with Swift’s backing vocals heard in the distance.
Some fans already saw the remix coming, having already discovered Haim’s registration for “Gasoline (featuring Taylor Swift)” on ASCAP before the big reveal. The group shared the biggest giveaway when they directed fans to their TikTok with the tweet: “tik tok tik tok tik tok.”
“Gasoline” appears on Haim’s third studio album, Women in Music Pt. III, which released in June 2020. The song will serve as the indie rocker’s latest single following previously-released tracks like “Don’t Wanna,” “I Know Alone,” “The Steps,” “Hallelujah,” “Now I’m in It” and “Summer Girl.”
What’s more, the new remix will mark Haim’s second time collaborating with Swift, who enlisted the trio for her song “No Body, No Crime” on her ninth studio album, December 2020’s Evermore.
