Man wanted in connection with Super Bowl celebration robbery

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify a suspect in a robbery on February 8, 2021.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., a victim leaving a post-Super Bowl celebration in Ybor City was offered a ride from 7th Avenue to the Hard Rock Casino by two unknown men. The suspects drove the victim to the corner of Hartford Street and S 70th Street, then ordered him out of the vehicle at gunpoint.

The suspects demanded the victim’s jewelry. After the victim complied, one of the suspects, seen wearing a white football jersey with the number “45” on it, shot the victim before both suspects fled the scene. Detectives obtained video from various cameras along 7th Avenue before the incident, and they are asking anyone who recognizes the man pictured to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.

“This suspect turned a night of celebrating into a night of terror for the victim he robbed and shot,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We want to find this individual immediately, and we are asking anyone who may have seen him the night of the big game to reach out to our detectives.”
