The Tampa Bay Lightning (24-13-3) defeated the Los Angeles Kings (16-14-9) 5-3 on Thursday night at Cyrpto.com Arena in Los Angeles. With the win the Lightning have won six consecutive games.
Brayden Point scored twice in this game to lead the way. After the Lightning fell behind 3-2 early in the third period, Anthony Cirelli scored to tie the game before Gage Goncalves came through with the game winner at the 18:19 mark. Nikita Kucherov added an empty net goal that made it a 5-3 final score.
The Lightning are next in action when they travel to San Jose to play the Sharks on Saturday. Puck drop from San Jose is scheduled for 4:00 PM ET between the Lightning and Sharks on January 3rd.
