If you're a proud cat parent like me (shout out Aiden & Tucker), you are v aware that they will hide in pretty much anything. So if you're gonna donate your old recliner to a thrift store, please make sure your cat isn't hiding in it first!
A missing cat was found by employees of a thrift store in Colorado hiding in a donated recliner!! When the fur parent realized the cat was missing, they contacted the thrift store, who informed them the cat had already been found and brought to Denver Animal Protection. Thankfully they were reunited! (See the cat in the recliner below)
According to the Denver Animal Shelter's IG post:
Montequlla's family donated a recliner to the thrift store when they were moving. They didn't realize that their cat was hiding inside the recliner. The thrift store contacted Denver Animal Protection to pick up the cat. Officer Humphreys scanned the cat, but the microchip was not updated. When Montequlla's family realized that she was missing, they contacted the thrift store who directed them to contact Denver Animal Protection. Officer Humphreys was able to reunite Montequlla with her family.
