Alligator chilling on a gator inflatable?!
Georgia residents (The Jacob's) were down for a wedding in South Miami, spotted a gator lounging on an alligator shaped pool float on Sunday. Dave saw the alligator in a lake outside of their vacation Airbnb rental on Saturday.
The alligator seemed to be teasing their dog Rascal, while he was chilling smugly on the inflatable in the pool. (Sounds like all this gator needed was a little cocktail drink.) Rascal was going crazy the whole day barking and running around behind the screened in pool deck.
Dave's wife called the Airbnb's owner, who then contacted the wildlife management. The gator was then eventually captured from his relaxation from the wildlife wrangler who said he's been "busy lately because it's mating season for alligators." I wonder if the alligator thought this inflatable was a mate for them?
Dave on the hand said "I guess it's not that unusual, but it was unusual to me." That would for sure be one of the funniest, and one of the weirdest things I'd ever see in person.
Dave and his family started their long drive back to Georgia. This was quite the Florida experience for Dave, who's not used to really seeing alligators in Georgia. Dave said "We have gators in Georgia , but they're just in areas that are not as populated, like some swamp where no one lives. But in Florida they're just in your neighborhoods."
