Getting dressed up and going out for a nice dinner can be a perfect date night, but it's not for everyone. Here are some Valentine's date night ideas that don't include having to dine out.
- Make an at-home meal kit - Cooking is always more fun when you’re in the kitchen together and a meal kit makes it easy by mapping out every step, so even a beginner can whip up something impressive. Or if you can't find or don't have access to a meal kit, just find a recipe you both would like to try and cook it up together.
- Dinner inside the movies - There’s no need to waste time doing two separate things when you have a movie theater that offers a dine-in experience. At some cinemas, you can get cocktails, dinner, and dessert, all while watching a film on the big screen. This may be a little more low-key than going out to a restaurant.
- Make a charcuterie board - Load it up with all your favorites and the ones your Valentine loves, too and spend your evening grazing to your heart’s content. Watch a movie, play a game, and just enjoy each other's time.
- Hire a chef - If you still want to be fancy and go all out but don't want to dine out, this is the perfect option. Hire a chef to come to your home and cook a delicious meal FOR you. Definitely do your research to find a local chef within your budget.
- Sign up for a cooking class together - If you sign up for a cooking class, which can be offered at a variety of places, you'll be taught by a professional and will get to enjoy a delicious meal together. Don't want to leave the house? You can find cooking classes online as well and do all of this in the comfort of your own home.
- Do a wine tasting and pairing - See what your local wineries or wine stores have for Valentine’s Day options or find a virtual pairing class to do at home.
- Order delivery - For one of the easiest options, just order whatever you want to eat and have it delivered right to your door. No reservations, shopping, or dressing up is required.
