This is just an AWFUL look. The Rays have had their best season (arguably) in the history of the franchise. The players, staff, and all those involved have worked so hard throughout the season. Now they are going to get hit with advertisements at Tropicana Field while they are going to go on a postseason run?! Unbelievable... We know there has been strife when it comes to the Rays getting a new stadium. But advertising you're not going to be in the Tampa Bay area for half of the MLB season?! While they have one of the best records in baseball? Poor move.
I feel bad for the players, front office staff, and manager Kevin Cash (Tampa native who went to Gaither High School). They have done all they can to be involved in the community and keep relations between the team and community at bay. Hopefully they don't follow through with getting more advertising like this...
